Just before winter is over, I wanted to share with you a look that I tried back in the fall, and absolutely fell in love with. This is the second look that I am posting on my blog and I am very excited to show you what I've come up with (to see the first look I created, click here).
I think you can rock this basically in any season, and look fantastic. It's definitely more on the 'natural' side, depending on what lip colour you choose to wear it with. I really wanted this look to stand out, so I added a bold lip colour ;)
OK, so let's jump right into it.
First, I couldn't pass on the opportunity of not taking a photo of the beautiful dried roses I still had from my birthday...so here they are:
Most of the products that I used to create the look:
I started off with bare eyes. As you can tell from the picture, I filled in my eyebrows beforehand.
I primed my eyes with an eyeshadow primer by Too Faced. I then applied Mac paint pot in painterly to build a good base for my eyeshadows and to cover small veins on my eyelids.
I blended out three eyeshadows by Mac on my crease (Haux, Soft Brown, and a tiny bit of Brown Script).
I used Lise Waiter's eyeliner in Ecorce Velours to draw a line along my upper lashline. Then I went over the same line with Mac's gel eyeliner in Rich Ground to intensify the colours and bring out the copper tones in both eyeliners.
I then applied mascara on both my top and bottom lashes, highlighted my inner corners with Mac's Naked Lunch and Shroom, and lined my bottom lashline with Nyx's jumbo eye pencil in Iced Mocha.
Last but not least, I first applied the concealer I normally use. Then I bronzed my cheeks with Tart's bronzer in Park Avenue Princess, and applied Benefit's blush in Coralista on top to add a bit of colour and glow.
On my lips, I applied Nars' lipstick in Audrey and followed right after with Mac's matte liquid lipcolour in Dance With Me.
I present to you the final look:
I hope you liked the look!
Enjoy the beginning, middle, or end of your day, wherever you are.
